Role: Building Services Electrical Engineer
Reports to: Supervisor/Service Delivery Manager
Location: Central London Prime Residential Commercial – Static role
Shift pattern – Monday to Friday 8am to 5pm – 40 hours per week

Your Purpose:
  • Responsible for ensuring that the electrical, mechanical, and public health systems and services within buildings work effectively, efficiently, and safely.
  • To carry out planned and reactive maintenance as instructed by the site supervisor andor Service Delivery Manager Including, but not limited to all routine maintenance and reactive tasks you would normally associate with building services.
  • Ensure engineering standards are maintained in order to maximise the operation effectiveness and reliability of the plant and associated systems.
  • To ensure company QA and site procedures are adhered to in all aspects.
  • Ensure Company & Site, Health & Safety procedures are followed at all times.
  • Maintain accurate site records/documentation in association with all site works in a timely fashion to meet KPI requirements. Keeping all logbooks fully up to date.
  • To inspect the condition of services and proactively deal with any day-day issues that may arise.
  • Comply with Company Health, Safety and Environmental procedures.

What you’re responsible for:

Trade Related tasks:
  • You will be carrying out hands on maintenance of primary electrical equipment in plant rooms and within common parts of a Super Prime residential/mixed use development.
  • Conducting fault detection and repairing various electrical equipment.
  • Diagnosing and rectifying electrical plant faults responsibly, while ensuring compliance with all statutory requirements.
  • Performing efficient servicing, fault diagnosis, and repair work on electrical systems according to current standards.
  • Submitting clear, concise, and accurate reports detailing the work undertaken.
  • Participate in building shutdowns, ensuring minimal disruption to operations.
  • Provide technical support for electrical systems and assist in troubleshooting issues.
  • Document all maintenance and repair activities, keeping accurate records.
Internal and External Customer Relations:
  • Always maintain a professional image of the company, while upholding and building effective relationships with colleagues, clients, and customers.
  • Maintain a flow of detailed information to Head Office.
  • Make certain work areas are left clean and tidy and carry out work in safe manner, adhering to company and site policy, procedures, and risk & method statements.
  • Assist in monitoring practices to ensure compliance with relevant legislation and regulations.
  • Report any H&S issues to management.
  • Undertake robust site-specific risk assessments.
 
Trade specific Qualifications/Skills:
  • Must have at least 2 years of experience working in a similar role within either prime residential or high-end hotel environments or commercial.
  • City & Guilds Electrical Qualifications 17th or 18th Edition.
  • Any other relevant building services qualifications
  • Excellent IT Skills and proficiency working via a PDA/mobile device and writing reports.
  • Outstanding customer service and client-facing skills.
